History of origins
The presentation of the Executive Office Group - Designed by Gilbert Rohde - in 1941 marked the beginning of Herman Miller Inc.'s success in the field of office furniture.
In 1946, architect and designer George Nelson became the company's first design director. With Charles and Ray Eames, the most important designers of the second modernism could be bound to the house in the same year.
