René Herbst Sandows Chair
René Herbst chair Sandows recedes a little into the background when it comes to famous furniture designs. Unfortunately, completely unjustified.
René Herbst - a French designer and architect - was one of the first to use tubular steel to make seating furniture. Seat and back surfaces were formed with the help of expander belts (French: sandow) hooked into the tubular steel. A simple as well as effective connection was created. Transparent and a seating comfort adapted to the body.
- Chair frame made of tubular steel (available in black lacquered or polished chrome)
- Expander straps hooked into tubular steel frame (Different colors available: black, red and blue)
Here you can order the René Herbst chair with armrests.
The expander straps available individually as a spare parts set. Please select item and color via the drop down menu.
