Marcel Breuer Cesca S32
The S32 was designed in 1926 at the Bauhaus Dessau. The short name Cesca is based on Breuer's daughter Francesca.
The chair model is probably the best known and most popular of all cantilever chairs. Nevertheless, the model's design is reminiscent of other well-known model series from the Bauhaus era.
The use of the new industrial material tubular steel and its form of a free-swinging chair frame marked a turning point in the history of furniture design.
The Cesca chair is available in natural beech, black stained beech, white lacquered beech or walnut stained beech. (Seats and backs are each provided with the so-called beige Vienna style natural wickerwork).
NEW: The model series S32 can now be ordered with black synthetic mesh upholstery. (Please refer to the detailed pull down menu.)
TOP quality feature: Tube ends welded, hand polished and chrome plated. (Cheap suppliers do without this detail and use only plastic caps)
